Simi safest city?

I don't understand why Simi keeps harping about how safe they are. They have not been on the list for about 10 years now!

It is quite obvious that this city wants continued growth which WILL CAUSE more crime. You cant have it both ways. Since the govt of this city is letting its beautiful mountains to be covered by more and more houses, then stop with the safe city garbage, because you lost it years ago and it is YOUR fault.

Good grief, this city comes up on the local news now at least several times a month for something BAD, when before you never heard anything about Simi.
